Welcome to the In Throne Podcast. My name is Solomon, and I'm with Brother Angie today. And I'm very excited. This is early morning on Tuesday to talk and bring you guys a message. Well, I won't be bringing the message, but the Lord will, and through us, we'll be sharing it with y'all. I'm excited about this message today. But just to recap, last week, we had talked a bit about unity and we really dived deep into what it was and what God has a purpose through that uh through that unity. We also talked a little bit about just kind of how every piece of the body can come into unity versus you know just trying to be separate everywhere and doing our own thing. So if you're very interested in the topic of unity or union with the Lord, please check out that video, comment, like, and as well as subscription, subscribe to the YouTube channel. Um but let's get our swords ready, let's get our shields, and let's come to battle. Let's get ready to let's get ready for warfare. So I'm excited. We're not going to be talking about the spirit of warfare yet, but what we will be talking about is anointing. Um I anointing. Amen. Amen. That's what we're doing. So if that's all right with you, sir. That's great. Alrighty. Well, I'm excited to talk a little bit about that. Um, I'll just give a little backstory. I don't fully understand what it is. I've seen some stuff here and there. One of the first stories that come to my mind is the Ark of the Covenant and how some people could touch it and some couldn't, some could and some couldn't. And so um, you know, I didn't know if that's what that fully was. And another is I remember a specific story where me and some of the team, we came and you would sat us down and we were just talking about different stuff. And I remember you let us hold uh your Bible, one of your Bibles. And uh different people had like different reactions to it. And for me, there was just like this weight to it, even though it's like a regular Bible. And I was like, and and there was just joy with it too. And I'm just like, what's going on? You know, and I believe you would share that that was the anointing, and that was the first time that I've I've ever really witnessed and recognized that in my personal life in real time. And so, sir, if you could, sir, could you just share what the anointing is? What what is anointing? What is that?

SPEAKER_02

So, anointing, anointing in in the simplest terms for me is not it's not a badge of ministry. Um anointing is evidence of union with Jesus. Okay, and so the anointing, uh what what you described is that was that was evidence of of my union with Christ, but it was not a badge of Brother Andrew's ministry. It was a testimony of ministering to the Lord and what the overflow of that ministry does in one's life. Um it's it's uh you know, Acts 19, it says that strange miracles were done at the hands of Paul to the point of where even articles of his clothing were healing the sick. Yes. And so that's a transfer of anointing. Um and so it's it's a it's a pretty it's a pretty awesome thing. Um and and you know, you go you go through the woman with the issue of blood, she touches the hem of Jesus' garment, gets healed. Um, and he says, I felt power go out of me, or I felt virtue go out of me. And the disciples are trying to figure out, Lord, how what do you mean, who touched you? Because he's asking the question, who touched me? Because I felt virtue go out of me, power go out of me, even though she didn't actually physically touch him, she touched the hem of his garment. And and you know, it and then you go just one or two chapters ahead, um, and you can check that out um one or two chapters ahead. And and by the time uh that Jesus actually walks into the next city that he's going into, the word has already been heard about that that transfer of anointing from his person to something that in an inanimate object. Um, and they're they're saying that they long that they could just touch the hem of his garment. Um, and so that language begins to transfer. Um, you know, back back in I I can't remember the day, the dates, that the time period, but when Kenneth Hagen was alive, um he had several services to where the anointing would be passed to a microphone. Um, is the tangible presence of God. Um and people would come up and touch the microphone trying to close out the service, and they would have an encounter with Holy Spirit that would then transform their lives. Uh and it was, it's, it's always I I I look at it like this because you can't you can't talk about anointing without talking about encounters. Uh, because anointing, anointing is what breaks the yoke. And true anointing will will break that yoke, but then there has to be truth partnered with that anointing, because the anointing breaks the yoke, but the truth sets you free. And then whom the Son sets free is free indeed. So the anointing, then the anointing is invitation into union that you've not tasted, but it gives you an opportunity to taste it without paying the price in order to receive it. In Revelation E says, purchase from me gold refined by fire. And and so what what we have to understand is there's there's an anointing in that fire, that purchasing that fire that's been refined by gold, it is the understanding that we have we have denied ourselves in such a way that we're being emptied of ourselves in order to be filled with him. Because the anointing comes from Jesus. And and whenever you people want to be anointed, Lord, anoint me to preach the gospel. Well, God's not going to anoint anyone that comes full of themselves. And so you purchase, you purchase from him gold refined by fire, secrets of the kingdom, revelation, permission granted by way of intimacy, um, tangible understanding of of relationship with God manifesting out in a public space. You know, what's what's done in private will be rewarded in public, um, will be revealed in public. And so, you know, I hear it both ways. That's why I said it that way, because uh a lot of people hear that as a condemning thing. You know, what you hide in secret, God will make visible in public, but I think I see it the other way. If if I'm only intimate with him in private, he's gonna reward me for that in public. Come on. And the rewarding nature of God is not that people would look at me and say, Whoa, people would look at me and say, Wow, unto the Lord. Wow. That that there's this understanding, and and everything, everything about the anointing should bring people into a more holy trembling in fear of the Lord, not in a wow looking at men. It should bring this deeper reverence um and understanding nature of the God who anoints. Because a lot of times when we encounter powerful anointings, and it's and it's I don't believe that it was ever anybody's heart to steal the anointing for themselves. But people, people put a demand, um, and people want it. And and the more that they want it, the nature of man is to be elevated. That's the fleshly desire of man, not the ontological state, the original state of man, but the original state from fallen man. And and so we start to elevate ourselves, it becomes more about us, and we guard against that by remaining in the secret place. So continually coming to the feet of Jesus and realizing that that this anointing only works if there's more of it. And so I need to continually be coming and emptying myself. Jesus says, if you want to follow me, the first thing you have to do is pick up the cross, deny yourself. So you're not even you're not even able to pick up the cross without first denying yourself. Because if you're not denying yourself first, then what you'll do is you'll pick up the cross for yourself. But if self is dead, now you're picking up the cross for everybody else. So now I uh it's it's what you've heard me say and and many others many times is you know, when we first start following God, we go to the secret place for ourselves. And there's nothing wrong with being there because I think the Lord, there's there's this, there's this understanding in the beginning, the the infantile gospel, um, not an infantile syndrome being stuck there, but the infancy of someone first following God, the God kind of expects that because that's all you know. It's like it feels good. I'm gonna keep coming because it feels good. And the longer that you come, it'll shift. And then you'll go from coming to the secret place for yourself to coming to the secret place for God. And that would seem right. That would seem like that's where we will stop. And and you know, you just continually come to the secret place for God, for God, for God, but God, God would never, God doesn't even bear witness of himself. So he would never want us coming to the secret place for him. That that's again, I believe, like a phase two, if you will, uh, of going into deeper intimacy with God. I believe there's three phases. And you, you know, you come initially for yourself, then you come initially for God. And then ultimately, I think he, after he, because I think every time that we come into the presence of God, Solomon, that there's an emptying of self. And that's why you start off selfish in your in your pursuit of God. It's all about me, what he can do for me. I want to get touched, I want revelation, I want him to use me, you know, all of these things, and it points to you. And then you start coming for God, and it's like, God, I magnify you, you're amazing. I'm just here for you. I only want you. And then you step into what I believe is the final phase is that we're coming for those that don't know him. That we're actually laying ourselves on the altar continually to be a better witness of Jesus Christ being manifested out of us and his glory and nature reigning on the face of the earth by way of his anointing first, but then into his truth. Because the anointing, the anointing should always lead you into a sturdy foundation of truth. You know, uh on the way home from church the other day, um, Tucker, my son, was talking with me, and we were talking about how many times did Satan come and tempt Jesus, and and how many times did he appear to Jesus is just one time that we have reference in the Bible. Now, he tempts him multiple times during that. And you know, I'm talking with my son, and I said, I said, you understand that that all that Satan did was quote scripture, and all Jesus did was quote it back. He didn't just rely on his anointing, he he, don't you know who I am and blow on him. You know, he didn't just lay hands on him and say, Get me, get out of here. You know, he he didn't even say, I I'm I have all power and authority over you, bow. He quoted scripture. Because the anointing is no good if we don't stand on the foundation of truth and the word is true. And so the only way to stop the attacks of the enemy is to be firmly rooted in truth. And I think also we have this weird world to where you you probably heard this phrase, most of y'all listening, you know, that people are um a mile wide but an inch deep. And what that means is they flow heavily in the moves of the spirit, but they don't flow very deep in the truth of the word. And because of that, we have faulty Christianity. We we have unstable foundations, therefore, you what Paul said tossed to and fro by every wind and wave of doctrine that comes. But if we're it's it's it's the wise man and the foolish man, the same storm came to both of them, but one had built upon sand, one had built upon a sturdy foundation of rock, and the winds came and beat, and the house didn't move. But the same storm was there. And then the reason why is because he the wise man built everything that he was doing on a foundation of the word, not on the anointing. And so, you know, I know we're going to talk about the anointing, but you can't you can't talk about the anointing without laying a foundation of this is what the the anointing should flow from. And this is what the anointing so everything that the anointing flows from, it should point back to. So if if my anointing flows from Jesus, it should point back to Jesus. If the if it flows from the presence, it should point back to the presence. If it flows from the truth in the word, then it should point back to the word. Not to me. Because the anointing doesn't flow from me. It flows from the from the anointer. Now ultimately, yes, we're the vessel and the anointing does flow out of us. I'm not saying that. What I'm saying is the original state of it. And so that that destroys this self, this selfish Christianity model uh of the anointing and get with the anointed, and I need the anointed man of God, the anointed woman of God. And it's like that that's true in a sense, but the only reason that we're coming to that is to be pointed to what the anointing flows from. And so any, I believe that any anointing that doesn't point to those things becomes strange fire in time. And strange fire uh it becomes destructive in nature because it points to the individual instead of to Christ. Because Christ already said that if he be lifted up, he'll draw all men unto him. So the only way to get people to heaven, to get people into intimacy, to get people into identity is for our life to continually point to Christ. And the anointing makes it so that it becomes tangible for individuals to experience that, so they want more of that. And then there's teaching that has to be paired with that anointing, and and you just you just have to have that depth of the word. I just I just heard a um a quote the other day, a few days back, um, Kenneth Hagin, and he had said that um the the healing movement in in the the forties, the forties through the seventies, he had listened to some clips of them preaching. And he said, they were under the anointing like people people were getting healed. He said, but they they said some of the dumbest things he had ever heard from the Bible, because they were largely I'm not quoting verbatim, but it was like they were largely illiterate when it came to the understanding of the word. They didn't have the depth in scripture that they needed in in order to just go beyond like healing. Like we think Jesus healing people is is one of the greatest things, but it's a transformed life. I remember sitting with um with Reinhardt Bonke, and I got to ask him a question, and the question that I asked him is said, What is the greatest miracle you ever saw? And this is a man that's raised the dead, he's pulled people out of wheelchairs, legs grow out, bones being healed, like anything you can think of, this man of God had seen it. And so I'm expecting something like that. And he didn't even hesitate. And this this look came over his face, Solomon, and I knew that he was about to answer it in a way that I didn't expect. And he said, without a doubt, the salvation. Somebody's life being transformed by the power of the gospel. Come on.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, sir.

SPEAKER_02

Just it being, but no one, no one that has ever watched, in my opinion, that has ever watched Ryan Herbonke or met him, wouldn't say he that man wasn't anointed. He was anointed. But he has such a depth in the word. His anointing was was operating on a foundation of truth. And because of that, the the effect that it had was exponential. Billy Graham, like, you know, he didn't, he's not like Bonkey or or some of the other guys that like he was always about, you know, miracle, science, and wonders and stuff like that, but it did happen. And and you can't look at Billy Graham or listen to him like I still listen to Billy sometimes, and you can just feel it. And the reason he was so effective is because he had a foundation of the word. He didn't have a foundation of his anointing. And and you can't be a man that's that's going deep in the word and not have deep relationship with Jesus. And so that brings us back to union. What does union what does everything flow from? What is my continual state of returning? What is my continual state of abiding? And and you know, I I am the vine and you are the branches. John 15, 15. It's it's like I I've got to stay rooted in the vine, yeah, because that's from which everything flows. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, sir. Man, that's awesome. I one of the images that I just feel was in my head was, you know, one of the things you talked about was that jar and that empty jar where you can't come full of yourself when you're coming to the presence of the Lord. Yeah. So I think there's many people, they, you know, just to kind of put it out there, I think there's many people that they want the anointing, um, and they want their jar to be full of that anointing so they can pour it on people, and yes, probably to serve the Lord too. So there will be a couple questions that I'll try to throw with that. But one of the first things I want to come with is how do we deny ourselves, pick up our cross and follow us, or how do we make our jar empty of ourselves? Um, because there are people, uh, including myself, in men in moments where either I'm right or I feel like I'm right. Excuse me, I feel like I'm right, or I might be full of myself, or I'm trying to do it with self-effort. And there are some people that are like, no, I identify with a specific way of living, a specific life, a specific denomination, etc. etc. But how can they, how can we empty ourselves or deny ourselves in order to receive what God has for us so that way we can be full of Him, so that way we can pour it out on other people.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, John, John in John chapter 3, verse 30, John the Baptist, John the Revelator is writing this, John the Beloved, and he's writing about John the Baptist, and and John the Baptist said, I must decrease. He must increase. And it's the same thing. So that's the scripture that's deny yourself. And I think that it comes from uh an intentionality of examining oneself and not just yourself, but the motive, the motive behind what you're doing. And we we talk about this a lot in the discipleship program is examining every thought. Yes. Um and and I believe that that's that's taking thoughts captive because if I'm examining against the word of God, my thoughts and my actions, that's taking that thought captive because then I have permission to find what the word says and replace that thought, that action with what the word of God says. And so it's it's continually like it's it's what we were saying. Like if I'm living my life that way, it's gonna be impossible for me not to know the word because I'm being governed by the word. And so everything that I'm doing is pushing me back to the word. Well, you know, I I'm gonna go do this, and and my motive, it doesn't, it doesn't mean the action might change, it the heart posture has to change. And so, you know, maybe maybe you're gonna go preach the gospel because you've got an opportunity to go, and you know, there's one coming up for you to go and preach into some kids that are that are struggling, right? That's right. And your your only motivation should be that Jesus be magnified and they see Jesus in you. So they become more hungry for Jesus, and you're only pointing to him. The wrong heart posture would be, well, you know, I'm finally getting my opportunity, I've been trained up for a while, here's my chance, I gotta go prove myself. Now we're wrong. Now we're wrong. That's that's not you emptied of self, that's you full of self. Because there was too many eyes in that conversation, there was too many me's. So there it's a statement, the eyes and my's have to die. And so whenever a thought or a motive comes up and it's about me or I or my, I need to replace that with him. I need to replace that with the Lord. And so it's it's how great is it that I'm counted able and worthy to go and stand in front of these young people and that they don't see me, but they see Christ in me. That his light would so shine among men that that people would glorify God. And and and that only comes through denying self because you're not the light. You you have no light. He is the light. He he is the light, and and and he we only get the light by delighting in the light. And so every time that that uh you know say there's a disagreement, and you think you were right and they think they were right, you're both already wrong. Because you're pointing to self. But what if I am right? It doesn't matter. By you being right, how does it make them feel loved? By you being right, how does it make them know Jesus better? Because Jesus didn't even bear witness of himself. He didn't try to prove that he was right. When when he stands before Pilate, they said, Are you are are you the Christ? Or are you are you these things? And he don't even He doesn't even speak a word. He he doesn't even defend himself. He he doesn't even try to prove that that yes, I am, and look, I've came from the Father and watch these miracles that I can do. No one can do what I can do. He could have easily proved it. But he wasn't worried about being right. He was going to be righteous. And when righteousness is the primary focus, then our primary focus becomes just living in right standing with him, being with him. Being right with him. Not just I'm right and I'm with him, but being right with him. Where are you? I'm right with Jesus. I'm right beside Jesus. How can I find you? Go to Jesus and look left. That's me. I'm there. Yes. Right? What is your address? Look to the left of Jesus. That's me. That's where I live. I'm living there. You know, and and not necessarily left or right. That is just, you know, people get crazy with that stuff. But that's that's not what I was trying to say. The point is, is that that I'm that I'm with him. That that that that's that's my position. And if I'm if I'm with him, I can't be with myself. I'm with him. You know, it's kind of like if I'm with my wife, I can't be with me. You can't be with yourself. Of course you're there. Like you're you, but I'm with my wife. And if the church is understanding marriage correctly, then that's an understanding of our relationship with God. Who are you with? I'm with God. I'm with my wife. So it can't be about me. I'm I'm I'm I'm beholding my wife and her beauty and and and magnifying her. And and when anyone wants to point at anything that I've done as a minister of the gospel, it's not I've done it, we've done it. And I'll even sometimes say, you know, she's the one you want. And y'all don't understand, but Britney is the glue, you know, because she she's my other part. Like two became one. Without her, I'm just 50%. Wow, yes. But I'm not responsible for 50%, I'm responsible for a hundred. And she's not responsible for 50%, she's responsible for a hundred. Because it's it's a manifestation of the goodness of God overflowing unto eternal life, and and we together magnify the Lord. And so everything we do together in union only magnifies him. Anything that magnifies us, and it's where we start getting angry and we start getting upset. And it's like you even examine that. Like, are you upset because of something you wanted, or are you upset because of something the Lord spoke? Are you in anxiety because of something that you're worried about, or did the Lord actually speak about that to you? And he's never gonna bring anxiety, and so all of these things are emptying yourself because you're denying yourself. Like to follow him is to deny yourself. And so every time self tries to rise up, I have to deny it. But I'm not gonna know itself if I'm not rooted and founded in the word.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, sir. Does it make sense? It does. Somewhat uh in me, it just kind of came up. I thought I was gonna be able to pull up the scripture in enough time, but I don't know, that's a lot of looking through this app specifically. But I um there's a portion that out that came to me, and that was that remember in the Old Testament where there was David and Saul, and David just defeated Goliath, and so he's coming back into the town, and everybody's excited, and they're cheering him on, and they're kind of celebrating what David did. And from my understanding, what I remember, King Saul was thinking that wow, like they're chanting on him, yet I'm the king, um, and that kind of started to really mess with him and frighten him and bother him. Sure. And so, and I would take it that David was probably a very anointed person. Um, and so the question I'm coming to Samuel would think so. Samuel would think so.

unknown

Exactly.

SPEAKER_00

And so the question that I would have is when there's a place of your anointing that, yes, you're pointing to Jesus. You're pointing everything to Christ. But you're for lack of better words, your anointing is so great that it seems to really you're outshining everything and everybody. Um and so how do we not grab that characteristic and say, you know what, actually I I am great. Or how do we have a confidence of I know that I am great, but it's not without Christ? Like how does that make sense?

SPEAKER_02

Kind of so so you again, I mean, studying the life of John the Baptist, wow, he he bore witness of the light, but he was not that light. So David David was heavily anointed. I mean, Samuel, Samuel had already anointed him, you know, uh, and he'd already he'd already been anointed king. Yeah. Um, and there's Saul, and you know, Saul slayed his thousands, but David is ten thousand. That's right. That's and you know, but David, I think the moment that we start worrying about what other people think about our anointing, we've already made it about ourselves.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

But if we're only focused on Jesus, we don't even realize that people are upset with our anointing. And it's not for us to figure out. Um, you know, Paul said pursue peace with all men whenever possible. Some people are impossible. And some people uh it's not my job to be the Holy Spirit for every person. It's not my job to be Holy Spirit for anybody. It's my job to be led by the Spirit, because as many are led by the Spirit of God, those are the sons of God. It's my job to be a son, and and I am a son, and so I'm gonna be led by the Spirit of God. And so David, David shows up to fight Goliath. You think that he's being sent by his father, but he's being sent by the father to give an opportune moment to exemplify the glory and manifestations of who God is. Like the fa like God looks at David, I think he knows what's in him, what he's capable of, but he says, let's test it, let's see what happens. Because Saul was never hated by God. Like Saul, Saul was picked by God. He he but he was the people's choice. And God didn't want to give them a king, but they wanted a king, so they picked one. And I think that we watch Saul's life and and God continually tested him and gave him opportunities to step into the more of God, and he stepped into the more of himself. And you know, he even prophesies with the prophets, and you know, is Saul one of them? And and you know, all of this stuff that that's around Saul's life. And when we find Saul, like he's hiding. He doesn't want to be seen. Now all of a sudden, all he wants to be is seen. And so there's that's that danger of the anointing because was Saul anointed? Yes, was David more anointed? I don't think so. I think they were they were both equally anointed. One just denied what the anointing's supposed to do, and the other one used the used the anointing for what it was supposed to do. And so David allows the anointing to continually take him in into the presence of God, to go deeper with God. Every time David makes a mistake, he runs to God, not from God. Where Saul is, he starts using the anointing for himself and he starts living more from the people than he does from God. And and the anointing begins to get hijacked by what the people desire instead of what God has said. And that's a dangerous place to be because you start wanting to please all men and you forget that some people are impossible to please. Because there's some people in Saul's camp that no matter what he did, they never would have been happy because they wanted what they wanted when they wanted it, instead of living in the understanding that Saul's not going to do what we want him to do. He's going to follow God. And he would have had Samuel standing with him. And I mean, Samuel was a force to be reckoned with. I mean, people he showed up in cities and people immediately come out and, like, are you here for good or bad? Like there was this fear and trembling of understanding. God's with him. And if he's showing up, I need to know, are you coming to bring a word of accusation and and and and ultimately maybe even destruction? Or are you coming for something that's good because, man, we've been doing a pretty good job of following God and He's speaking to you good things about us? Are we about to get rebuked? Like in a way that like is not going to seem good to us? Are you coming with just like, hey, what's up, guys? I'm here to hang out for a minute. He's like, I'm here for good things. Because he's here to in their city to anoint the next king. That's a pretty good day for that city. And so, you know, it's it's just when when David's walking back, he's defeated Goliath. And and even in that, like, let's let's go back. David didn't feed nobody. God did. God did. God gets the glory because God did it. He did it through David, but God did it. And so David's just giving glory to God because it's not himself. It's again John the Baptist. He he bears witness of the light, but he is not that light. Are you one of the prophets? No, I'm not, even though we know he was Elijah. Like he was on the same spirit of Elijah. But he didn't say, Yeah, yeah, I'm the greatest that ever lived. He's like, there's another one here. I can't even talk about myself when he's here. And it wasn't that John didn't know that like God was doing great things through him. Like he continued to do great things. You know, John kept on baptizing. And so, like, even after Jesus was anointed, came out of the wilderness. It's like, you know, John's still over there baptizing, and his disciples are. Should we tell them to stop? And it's like, no, just let them keep doing their thing. Like they've been doing this before you even knew what it was. Like, come on. And and like John, John doesn't deny that God's using him. He just never picks it up like that. It was his. Like the one through all things exist is here. So my my anointing should only point to Jesus. And it's like, oh my gosh, Solomon, you're so amazing when you get up there and you and you preach. And man, I just feel the anointing. And it yeah, man, it's so great. God wants to use you that way. I'm I'm I am nobody special. Like in in terms of thinking, you know, well, God picked me and he won't pick somebody else. God wants to use all. And it's Jesus in me. It's Christ in me, the hope of glory. And guess what? He's in you.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And you're just pointing it right back to Jesus. And I don't believe in the the the oh yeah, it was Jesus, bro. Like just Jesus. Like, yeah, that's real. But like, how do we make that relational? How do we like if we just say, yeah, it's Jesus, well, then not what we're saying is, well, Jesus picked me, but he didn't pick you. Right. When he wants to use all, he's anointed all. He's he he's called all. He he wants his goodness and his his mercy to flow through all. And so we really got to start promoting, like, it's not just about me. Like, it's it's it's Christ in me, the hope of glory, but he's in you. And and it's equally being able to say Jesus loves me and I'm his favorite. But understanding that I'm not saying that he doesn't favor you. Like, what I'm saying is you need to get that mentality. But if we don't lead the people that way to understand you're God's favorite, I'm God's favorite, Solomon's God's favorite, and we can all be his favorite simultaneously because he loves us the same. Because if we don't, if we don't understand favorites, then we don't understand love because God did favor us. He sent his only son to die as us so that we never had to experience death. He he so wanted to be with us that he sent his only son to destroy what was blocking us, to become the eternal sacrifice so that we could live in union with God like we were supposed to from the beginning. That's pretty crazy anointing, right there.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. Um something that's so awesome. Like it's so powerful that God would even just choose to use us and choose to live through us and do things through us. Yeah. So I think it's really awesome. But there are some things that I think that people can do really well. Uh, and the question that kind of came up for me is Um is talent versus anointing? Can you t is there a difference? Can we even tell? Is it the same thing? Um, I know there's a place of well, let me just back up. What is there a difference there in talent versus anointing? Or is that the same thing?

SPEAKER_02

I mean, you you have natural talents. I mean, but talents, talents are largely what the world desires. That's what I was thinking. Um to where the anointing, the anointing shifts atmospheres. And so, like a talent, a talent might make people go, whoa, for a minute, or wow, you know, Saul McGarilla yo-yo. That's a talent. He's pretty talented with a yo-yo.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Right? Yes, but it's not transforming anybody. It may make someone want to go home and try yo-yoing to get smacked in the face and then they're done. Yeah. Right? Right. But like anointing, anointing births people into their purpose, their calling, their peace. Uh-uh, uh, uh, you know, Paul says that we're the body of Christ is a body. Yeah. You know, and and we we look, talk about the big toe, the nose, the ear, the eyes. You know, like we come together to complete the body. I I might be a horrible big toe, but I might be a great nose. And so, like, but the anointing helps me get free from everything that I'm not, that the truth helps me understand this is what God has actually called me to do. And the more often that I come to be with God, the more that's revealed. And and so it it's it's all about surrender. It's never the anointing was never intended to make you impressive.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_02

It was it was there to to make Jesus revealed. And so, you know, whether whether we're talking about talent or anointing, like let all do be done unto the Lord. So whether it's a talent or an anointing, it doesn't really matter. It it comes back to the understanding that this all exists to magnify the Lord. And so, you know, you've got you've got a lot of people like in in sports and different things, and and they're they're talented. And they are, they're giving God props. Like, not just like we used to grow up with, well, you know, glory be to God, and then there's nothing else in their life. Like every time these people are in interviews, they're talking about Jesus. Yeah, and they're talking about how great an opportunity it is that that so many kids look up to them. They have this opportunity because Jesus has put this in them to be able to do this, and so that that's what we're that's what we're after right there.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I love that.

SPEAKER_02

And we're running out of time.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, we are. But I'm very thank you, just giving clarity, not just for me, but every viewer that's gonna watch this that is wanting to know what that anointing is.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and there's so there's so much more. Like we just we just scrape the surface. I absolutely was thinking but like the the the main thing is is make the main thing the main thing. Jesus. Jesus. Yeah, I I am I am here to go deeper with God, and then by going deeper with God to manifest God, and the manifestation of God on my life should point others to God. It's a circle.

SPEAKER_00

Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Won't you pray for us? Oh, okay. Thank you. Um, Jesus, we just come and we just honor you. I thank you, Lord, just not just for this morning, but just even the rest of our day. And just continuing to show us the more of you, uh, how much you love us, how much you favor us, and how much you just enjoy us existing with the knowledge of you. And so, God, I just pray that each and every person listening and even us in the room, Lord, that we just have more encounters with you, more moments where we witnessed and recognized your love in our life. And I just thank you, Lord God, for just continuing to pour out on us not just knowledge, but your love and your desires for us. And that's all that's all we want to step into. Help us to step in the truth, help us to step in the solid truth of the word of God. And I just thank you, Lord, for who you are in general, and you are good and you are amazing, and we are so thankful, and I love you, and we bless you in Jesus' name.

SPEAKER_02

Amen. Amen.

SPEAKER_00

Bless you all. Bless you. Thank you, guys. We'll see you next week.
